“We Support Our Troops” open house tour slated for Memorial Day Weekend

SHERMAN OAKS — Prospect Mortgage, LLC, one of the nation’s largest independent mortgage lenders, in partnership with Watt Communities will be hosting an Open House and free barbeque at the new “Enclave” Homes over Memorial Day weekend. The May 28th event will take place at 10630 North Bank in Ventura, CA from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

“We are very excited to be part of this family-friendly event along with Watt Communities — an organization that represents the highest quality and integrity in the home builder industry,” said Prospect VP, Business Development, Pacific Division, Tara Flinn. “Prospect is also honored to continue to support the Homes for Our Troops organization”.

Homes for Our Troops (HFOT) is a nonprofit organization that builds mortgage-free, specially adapted homes for Veterans who were severely injured post September 11, 2001. The goal of Homes for Our Troops is to help these Veterans to rebuild their lives.

“This project is exciting because it offers a new home experience in an existing suburban community at an attainable price point,” said Howard Press, President for Watt Communities. “We’ve been working on this project for five years. Ventura has few new home projects because the entitlement process is so rigorous. Because of this, the quality of design is excellent, and Enclave offers a variety of interesting elevations.”

Since forming the partnership with HFOT, Prospect has donated more than $78,000 to the organization. Along with the ongoing monetary donation, Prospect encourages its employees to attend or volunteer for Homes for Our Troops. Employees have attended groundbreaking ceremonies of homes being built for Veterans, participated in Volunteer Day to help landscape homes and key ceremonies to see the keys of a new home being handed to a Veteran.

“We are delighted to partner with Prospect Mortgage in acknowledging our troops this Memorial Day. We support and appreciate their efforts to serve our country,” added Press. Prospect will be hosting a free VA home buyer seminar at the Enclave home site the following weekend.
