The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) recently held their annual awards show at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. The NAACP Image Awards is their premiere multicultural awards show. It celebrates the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature and film, and also honors individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors.
With the spotlight on the lack of diversity in the upcoming Oscar nominees in practically every category, the NAACP award show was very well attended by more than a few “A” list African American actors that have voiced their disappointment in the ceremony. Many have noted that they won’t be attending the Oscars. However, I’m sure the host, comedian Chris Rock will provide plenty of anxious moments for whomever will be sitting on that “six seconds delay button” though.
At any rate, there were more than a few lovely looks on the red carpet, below is a link to some of them:
NAACP IMAGE AWARDS FASHION RECAP
I was VERY surprised and disappointed with the outcome of Super Bowl 50 but CONGRATS to the Broncos anyway. I saw these pictures earlier in the week and I thought the many readers of my blog would appreciate all the hottest as I did from both teams:
