Children of Military Personnel Honored by Pop Stars At “Little Patriots Embraced” Fitness and Music Tour at Miramar

Who: The “Little Patriots Embraced” national children’s charity is sponsoring a Military Fitness & Music Tour to honor the children of military personnel at MCAS Miramar Military Base. POP artists such as Kristinia DeBarge, Chris Golightly and 2BD Group are preforming in a concert Produced and Sponsored by Vincent James of VJ management and Music Group. Also, as part of Little Patriots Young Ambassadors, TV stars Kirsten & Kaitlyn will be on hand throughout the day to entertain and engage military children through each program designed to honor and thank these young patriots.

MCAS Miramar Main Gate (East Gate off of Miramar Way) parking lot.
* MILITARY BASE PROTOCOL: Please arrive via the Main gate. Upon entering the gate, your vehicle is subject to search and your driver must have the following: current driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. Park in the parking lot immediately to your right. Please wait until a representative from the base’s Public Affairs Office and a MCCS staff member arrive to escort you onto the base and to the event location. ***MEDIA MUST ARRIVE PRIOR TO 12:45PM to cover this event.
Why: Since 9/11, Little Patriots Embraced has developed core programs to ease the emotional stress faced by the children of our military. With over 1 million children of military personnel under the age of 15, Little Patriots Embraced is reaching out with programs such as the Military Dependent – Tuition, Emergency and Childcare Fund, Family Deployment Packages, LPE Youth Concert Tour and their signature program called Project Bear Essentials, which focuses specifically on preschool and young school-age children. All of these programs strive to address the emotional stress felt by military children due to separation, frequent moves and even death of a loved one.
