Honoring Our Troops (HRT) is holding its “America Cares” Summer 2012 Package Drive on Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Veterans Museum & Memorial Center located at 2115 Park Blvd. in Balboa Park (next to Naval Hospital), starting at 9 a.m.
HRT has announced that for this drive they have adopted local Naval men and women who have been deployed to the Forward Operating Bases in Southern Afghanistan. Last year, HRT sent out 810 care package. For this summer package drive, HRT will need your help to reach their goals to cover the overhead of shipping.
HRT is a 501c3 non-profit organization that can offer its services to active duty, veterans and their families only through the assistance of supporters and corporate sponsors. Donations are tax deductible.
