Sunday, November 9^th Run/Walk 5K to Benefit Non-Profit Homes for Our Troops

For the second consecutive year, CertaPro Painters, along with Shelter Island Hotel Group, will be co-hosting the annual Shelter Island 5K in San Diego. The 12^thAnnual Shelter Island 5K Run/Walk “Run for Our Troops” will benefit Homes for Our Troops, a non-profit, non-partisan organization which provides no-cost homes for veterans who have sustained injuries from service since September 11, 2001. The 5K will kick off at the Holiday Inn Bayside at 7:30 AM. Following the 5K participants will be treated to a champagne breakfast.

Homes for Our Troops is a non-profit organization that builds specially adapted homes for service members who have been severely injured in combat operations since September 11, 2001. Homes are built at no cost to the veterans using funds donated by corporations and individuals.

CertaPro Painters is no stranger to giving back to our nation’s heroes both locally and nationwide. In 2013, CertaPro helped build two homes in San Diego County. CertaPro is also a proud participant in the VetFran program, which offers veterans who wish to own a CertaPro franchise a discount on the initial franchise fee. The 5K represents CertaPro Painter’s continued efforts to donate more than $200,000 over the next two years to assist disabled war veterans.
